Sports Betting - When I was first asked to make a few notes on tips about sports betting I wasn’t really sure what to say, if I knew the tricks of the trade then I would be a millionaire by now! I mean of course if you look at different sports there are always favourites and there are always underdogs so the majority of money will be placed on the favourite.

A favourite is who the bookmakers feel have a better chance of winning, for example in the Champions League this week, Chelsea has a 3-1 first leg advantage and they were due to play at home, this meaning that there was more chance they would advance through to the next round, hence they are the favourite.
A popular way of betting especially in football is doing something called an accumulator and this is where you pick a certain amount of teams to win, of course you go for who are more likely to win their respective games and then hopefully walk away with some winnings, but don’t forget, no sport runs as smoothly as it should.
An example of another tip in sports betting is in horse racing. A lot of people really do just go for the name of the horse, the colour of the horse, the jockeys outfit etc but if you want to have more chance of winning then it is important to check two thing, the current form of the participating horses, how many they have won, came second etc in recent races, but it also depends on the quality of the track, sometimes it is hard, soft, medium, there might be fences etc, different horses perform better on different tracks.
