At the weekend while keeping an eye on my Ladbroke bets, I went to watch my beloved Leeds United stamp their final position in the play offs and at the same time we ensured that our opponents Northampton Town suffered relegation into the bottom tier of English football.

The Play Offs are the ultimate finale to the football season although it does mean heartbreak for three out of the four teams. What happens is the teams that finish in 3rd, 4t, 5th and 6th qualify for the Play Offs, the team who finished third plays the team in 6th and of course the team in 4th plays the team in 5th, so get your bets in to Ladbroke before you miss out.
The two teams who finished 3rd and 4th both play their first leg of the semi final away from home with the return leg obviously being at home, this is seen as an advantage as home support really gets the team going and also they know what scoreline(s) they need to qualify for the final. The final is then held at the ‘Home of Football’, the amazing Wembley Stadium. Wembley is the biggest ground in the UK and is the home ground for the national side, often discussed on Ladbroke.co.uk.
The two finalists battle out over 90 minutes (extra time and penalties if needed) and then the winner gains promotion into the Championship, just one step away from the Premiership which is where all teams want to be. This years League 1 Play Offs are contested by the MK Dons, Scunthorpe, Millwall and of course, Leeds United. Leeds United play Millwall and Scunthorpe play MK Dons. Internet sports betting is sure to get a boost after this game!
