The Premiership still has another few weeks left. This weekend does not signal the end for every team in these leagues though as there are the play-offs where four teams from each league will have between 2/3 games left each to play, but that’s another story.

Every year these league throw up some surprise packages along with some expected circumstances so I am going to giving you a brief review of what has happened, starting with the Championship. First of all as we head into the final weekend Wolverhampton Wanderers have not only already established promotion but they have also won the league, meaning they move into the Premiership as champions. There is still one automatic place up for grabs with three different teams still in the running to go up, one of them being Birmingham, the second being Sheffield United and finally Reading, any one of these three can be promoted.

At the other end of the table Charlton Athletic have been relegated as have Southampton, two teams who only a couple of years ago were in the Premiership, the final place will be Norwich City or Barnsley, all Barnsley need to do is earn a point and they will survive.

In League 1, the two automatic promotion places are already accounted for, Leicester City as champions and Peterborough as runners up, at the other end of the table Hereford and Cheltenham have both been relegated, and there are 5 other teams who could still fill the remaining two spaces.

In league 2 Brentford have won the league meaning they will move into League 1, the second automatic space however still has three teams in the running to take that spot. At the bottom Luton and Chester have both been relegated.

This will surely be an interesting week for internet sports betting at Bet365!
