With 3 races gone this seasons championship is really starting to take shape. Ferrari look like they have got their car in order a lot quicker than they did in the 2007 season and have already had 2 wins with each driver being already on the of the ladder once.

On the other hand McLaren’s fortunes took a turn for the worst at the last race in Bahrain with Kovalainen only picking up 5th place and Hamilton finishing a miserable 13th after a nightmare first lap where he stalled on the grid then crashed into former teammate Alonso on the first lap which left the team in 3rd place in the constructors ladder with BMW surprising leading at this early stage.
So heading to Spain I?m looking forward to this intriguing battle which is developing between Ferrari, McLaren and this year?s surprise package BMW and in particular Nick Heidfeld who after three races has amassed 16 points and is in 2nd place in the drivers table.
Last year?s winner at the Spanish circuit Felipe Massa is also full of confidence leading up to the race after his fine performance at Bahrain leading from start to finish so must be a danger at the Grand Prix.
But my forecast for the Grand Prix of Spain would have to be a Ferrari 1-2 with Raikkonen just pippin his team-mate into second place.
