Whether it is your gut instinct or some tipster deciding what you select on your bet we all think about the money we would win even before it has even been won (well I do anyway) but the truth is none of us really have a clue what the outcome is and to me that is what makes it all the more exciting.

What does get to me is when punters say they are on a losing streak? And cannot get out of it which makes no sense at all because it is quite clear that you are doing something wrong and following the same pattern that quite clearly is not working, for example following the same trainer or jockey in horse racing that are off form is not going to make you rich quick is it when you think about it.

I tend to follow trends when placing bets and go for the statistic bet especially in football where I follow specific records like a good home side against a poor away side and in horse racing I only back a horse that has won over the distance in question before and with the same weight on board because my money is hard earned so I don’t give it away easy.
