This weekends football was full of surprises at both end of the tables and has left us with the possibility of both the top and bottom being the tightest ever finishes in the history of the Premier League.
Chelseas thrilling last gasp 2-1 victory over Manchester united has opened the top of the table right up and now only goal difference separates the two teams from each other with Manchester United?s being far superior but they are now both on 81 points with 2 games to play.
Liverpool are guaranteed at least 4th spot after coming back from 2 nil down to draw 2-2 with Birmingham who now are third from bottom and could have really done with holding on and claiming the 3 points.
Both Reading and Bolton both claimed valuable away draws at Tottenham and Wigan drawing 1-1 and nil-nil respectively.
Middlesbrough who could still get sucked into the dogfight lost 3-2 at Sunderland in another north-east derby, but the comeback of the day has to go to Fulham who at half time were 2 nil down at Manchester City and looking doomed to go down but 3 second half goals with the last one coming in the 90th minute gave them a precious 3-2 away win and still the chance of avoiding the drop.
Elsewhere in the other game to be played at the weekend West ham who were also 2 nil up against Newcastle were pegged back and finished up drawing 2-2.
