After his epic finish to the US Open in which injury forced Tiger out for eight months at least after having reconstructive surgery to his left knee this tournament at ladbrokes could be a very interesting affair with a lot of golfers thinking they will be in with a chance of winning.
The Open championship starts on the 17th July till the 20th and this year the biggest tournament in Britain and one of the biggest in the world takes place at the beautiful lynx course of Royal Birkdale and with Tiger Woods not competing.
It will give all the other players a chance to claim some major silverware and a chance to move up the rankings at www.ladbrokes.com and if your European or American one of the last chances to forge their way in to their respective Ryder cup squads.
Remember you could still be doing some horse racing betting at ladbroke!
Having looked at a few players with chances I have narrowed it down to a few players that I feel should be worth a punt if you are thinking about having a bet at ladbroke.com.
Lee Westwood, after finishing third in the US Open this could be the best chance yet to win a major and the way he is hitting the fairway and greens at the minute expect him to be high up the Leader board come the final Sunday.
Ernie Els, the big South African has been a bit off the boil recently but I have a sneaky feeling he will have a say in where the trophy finishes up purely on his ability around Lynx courses especially in England.
Adam Scott, Australia’s best chance I feel and another who seems to play better on the Lynx courses, if he is a pretty big price when the tournament, backing him each-way could reap rewards because I expect him to go well.
