Although the season 2008/2009 has finished for most clubs, there is still one massive continental trophy to play for, if you’re not sure what I am talking about it is the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL. The final this year is taking place in one of the world’s nicest stadiums in Rome and is to be contest by two of the greatest teams this season, two of the greatest teams in Europe, and two of the greatest teams in history. First of all we have Premier League Champions Manchester United, who have world superstars in their team in the style of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic and many more.

Then we have the La Liga champions, Barcelona who have romped home in their domestic league and although they don’t have the best defence in the world, they have forward players like Samuel Eto’, Thierry Henry, Eidur Gudjohnsen and the player who in my opinion (and millions of others) is the best player not only in the game today but of all time, Lionel Messi.

Many people are speculating on who will win this game but I genuinely think it might be the closest yet most entertaining final that we may ever see, both teams are immense, both teams are in some fantastic form but more importantly, both teams see this as the ultimate finale to what is already an outstanding season.
