After witnessing my greatest and possibly the greatest EVER grand slam final at Bet365 I thought it would make sense to do some writing based on the last two weeks at Wimbledon.
Last month I tipped a Federer v Nadal final at Wimbledon, and to all of those that took me up on the suggestion would not have been left disappointed and to be frank I was very happy myself because I had a little wager at 7/2 at Bet365.com with also Nadal winning so on the whole I am very happy with the outcome.
But as a whole the last two weeks have been literally breathtaking with such a high standard of tennis all the way from the first round in both the men’s and women’s draw.
We have been treated to it all at www.bet365.com, surprises with seeded players dropping like flies especially in the Women’s draw with the quarter finals not having any of the top 5 seeds which has not happened for many years, unlike the men who gave it their all but could not get the better of either of the world’s top two seeds Federer and Nadal who amazingly played out there third successive final.
Both finals had the same theme ringing around them with Venus never beating her sister Serena in a final at Wimbledon and likewise Nadal never getting the better of Grass king Federer (who was after a 6th straight win and a new record).

All that was to change with Venus beating her sister in a close fought game 7-5 6-4 to take her fifth title at SW19, but nothing could eclipse the men’s final with Nadal racing in to a 2 set lead only for Federer to dig deep and level it at 2 sets each but it was the last set eventually won by Nadal 9-7 that brought him his first of I am sure many titles here but as a spectacle I do not think it can be bettered and the score of 6-4 6-4 6-7(5-7) 6-7(8-10) 9-7 that lasted a mammoth 4 hours and 48 minutes is the best game of tennis I have ever witnessed.
